6 Injured in Street Racing Crash on I-35 in San Antonio

Six Injured in San Antonio Street Racing Crash on Interstate 35 at AT&T Parkway

San Antonio, Texas (July 26, 2021) – According to the police, a family of five and another driver were injured early Sunday morning in a street racing crash in San Antonio.

The crash happened around 2:20 a.m., July 25, on Interstate 35 and AT&T Parkway.

Police said a Ford Mustang and another car were racing down the 1-35 frontage road over 100 mph.

The Mustang lost control at Walters and crashed into a wall divider. It then rear-ended a van and a truck.

A family of five in the van, two adults, and three kids were taken to Metropolitan Metro Hospital with minor injuries. The truck driver was also taken to Metropolitan Metro Hospital with minor injuries.

The Mustang driver was uninjured in the crash. He was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for DWI. His girlfriend was also arrested on multiple charges.

The crash closed I-35 for several hours.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
