Child Injured in Third Ward Bicycle Crash on Yellowstone Avenue

Houston, Texas (January 7, 2019) – A child riding a bike was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver on Sunday evening in Third Ward, according to the HPD.
The crash happened at about 6 p.m. January 6 in the 4200 block of Yellowstone Avenue.
The HPD report indicates that a 7-year-old child was riding a bike when a red Ford F-150 with an extended cab struck the rider and  fled the scene.
The vehicle was seen dragging the child’s bike after the incident.
The extent of the child’s injuries was not released.
Houston police are investigating the hit-and-run.
