Sergio Padilla-Luna Killed in Hidalgo County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1925 and Tower Road

Hidalgo County, Texas – One person was killed Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Hidalgo County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:40 p.m., March 16, on FM 1925 and Tower Road east of Edinburg.

DPS said a white Dodge Ram pickup occupied by a man, a woman, and a child, was traveling westbound on FM 1925 and was attempting to turn left onto Tower Road. A gray Chevrolet Trailblazer, occupied by one man, was traveling westbound behind the Dodge.

The Chevrolet driver failed to control his speed and collided with the Dodge. That driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Sergio Alejandro Padilla-Luna, 34, of Edinburg.

The occupants of the Dodge were not taken to the hospital.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
