8 Injured in 11-Vehicle Pile-Up Crash at Loop 20 and Interstate 35 in Laredo

Eight People Hospitalized after Laredo Collision at Loop 20 and Interstate 35

Laredo, Texas (June 22, 2022) – Eight people were sent to a hospital following a pile-up crash involving eleven vehicles Monday evening in Laredo, according to a local news source.

The multi-vehicle crash happened at around 6:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, at the intersection of Loop 20 and Interstate 35.

As per the report, an 18-wheeler was traveling in the area when its brakes failed and slammed into another vehicle that was waiting in a line to turn onto Interstate 35 from Loop 20. The impact triggered a chain reaction collision that involved several other cars.

A total of sixteen people were involved in the crash. Eight of them were taken to nearby hospitals, where they remain in stable condition.

No further information is currently available.

The accident remains under investigation.
