84-Year-Old Man Killed in Car Crash on Rusk Street in Jacksonville

84-Year-Old Man Killed in Jacksonville Two-Vehicle Crash on East Rusk Street

Jacksonville, Texas (October 11, 2022) – An elderly man was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Jacksonville, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 10:13 a.m., October 10, in the 2300 block of East Rusk Street.

Authorities said a 2013 Dodge pickup was traveling eastbound, towing a trailer with a pickup loaded on the trailer. The driver said the trailer began to sway and became uncontrollable. The truck and the trailer entered the westbound lane and collided with a westbound 2014 Nissan Altima.

The Nissan driver, an 84-year-old Jacksonville man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
