One Killed in McLennan County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6

McLennan County, Texas (October 12, 2019) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in McLennan County, southeast of Valley Mills, according to a local news release.

The crash happened on Friday, October 11, on Highway 6 near Del Mar Ranch Road.

DPS said a Volkswagen passenger was heading southbound when it hydroplaned, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The Volkswagen then crossed into the opposite lane of travel and crashed into an 18-wheeler.

The Volkswagen driver was declared dead at the scene.

The truck driver was taken to a Providence hospital in Waco for treatment.

An investigation is ongoing.
