Rider Seriously Injured in Midland Motorcycle Crash on Midkiff
Midland, Texas (March 9, 2021) – According to a local news source, a motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a hit-and-run crash in Midland.
The accident happened at about 4:30 p.m., March 7, in the 1000 block of N. Midkiff.
According to the report, a motorcycle was traveling southbound in the outside lane while a grey Dodge Ram 1500 truck was traveling northbound in the center turn lane.
The Dodge began turning westbound into a private drive and failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
The Dodge driver fled the scene after the crash.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The authorities are looking for the Dodge, which is described as a grey Dodge Ram 1500 with a chrome bumper guard and headache rack and will be missing the whole passenger side taillight and may have some minor damage to the right-back quarter panel around the wheel.
The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the suspect is asked to call MPD or Midland Crime Stoppers at 432-694-TIPS. If your tip leads to an arrest, you will be eligible for a $1,000 cash reward.
