Man Killed and Hidalgo County Constable Injured in Palmview Three-Vehicle Crash at TX-495 and Breyfogle 

Palmview, Texas (July 4, 2021) – According to the authorities, a man was killed, and a Hidalgo County Constable was injured Saturday morning in a head-on collision in Palmview.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m., July 3, near the intersection of TX-495 and Breyfogle.

Authorities said the man was driving when he hit a car near 3-mile line and Breyfogle. 

The man then fled the scene, and a while later, he ran a red light and crashed head-on into a Hidalgo County Precinct 3 Constable.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female constable was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
