Adam Benjamin Chadbourne and Sara Elizabeth Chadbourne Killed in Gregg County Two-Vehicle Crash at FM 2275 and Texas Street

Gregg County, Texas (August 1, 2020) – Two people were killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash in Gregg County, one mile east of Gladewater, according to DPS.

The fatal crash happened just before 8:00 p.m. July 31, at the intersection of FM 2275 and Texas Street.

According to a preliminary investigation, Adam Benjamin Chadbourne, 35, of Gladewater, was driving northbound on Texas Street approaching FM 2275. He failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a pickup driven by a 16-year-old.

Adam and his passenger, Sara Elizabeth Chadbourne, 35, also of Gladewater, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers, a 12-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The pickup driver and two juvenile passengers were taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation.
