Agustina Sanchez Killed in Head-On Crash on Hwy 249 in Grimes County

Agustina Sanchez Killed in Grimes County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 249 near FM 1748

Grimes County, Texas (April 8, 2023) – One person was killed Thursday night in a head-on collision in Grimes County, according to the troopers.

The fatal crash happened just after 11:00 p.m., April 6, on Highway 249 near FM 1748.

Troopers said a 19-year-old man was driving southeast, and was trying to pass a large truck when it was not safe. He crashed head-on into a northwest car driven by Agustina Sanchez, 22, of Spring.

Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver was taken to Memorial Hermann – The Woodlands Medical Center with suspected serious injuries.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
