Andres Dias-Diaz Killed in Palmview Two-Vehicle Crash on La Homa Road

Palmview, Texas (August 14, 2023) – One person was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash north of Palmview, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened on August 13, on La Homa Road.

DPS said a white 2014 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling southbound when the driver failed to control his speed and rear-ended a southbound gray 2012 Dodge Durango.

The Durango veered off the road and struck a light pole.

The female driver of the Durango was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Malibu driver, 24-year-old Andres Dias-Diaz from Mission, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the Malibu was taken to a local hospital with major injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
