Anna Quiroz Killed in Corpus Christi Pedestrian Accident on I-37 near McKinzie Road
Corpus Christi, Texas (February 6, 2020) – The woman who was killed in a pedestrian accident on Saturday in Corpus Christi has been identified as Anna L. Quiroz,24, of Corpus Christi, according to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The accident happened at about 3:36 p.m., February 1, in the 10200 block of Interstate Highway 37 near McKinzie Road.
Police said Quiroz had gotten out of her car when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 69-year-old man. The impact threw Quiroz into the northbound lanes of IH-37.
Quiroz was killed in the crash. She died of blunt-force trauma to the body and head.
The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
