At Least One Killed in Austin Amazon Truck Crash on Ben White Boulevard

Austin, Texas (February 2, 2021) – At least one person was killed early Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in southeast Austin, according to police.

The fatal crash happened just after 2:00 a.m., February 1, in the 7200 block of westbound Ben White Boulevard.

Police said an Amazon delivery truck was parked on the side of the road when it was hit by a car that was traveling at a high rate of speed.

The car went under the truck. Both vehicles caught fire.

The car driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The crash closed Ben White Boulevard near Riverside Drive.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
