At Least 1 Hospitalized after Austin Crash on South Mopac Expressway
Austin, Texas (May 24, 2019) – At least one person was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after a traffic accident in Austin, authorities said.
The crash was reported just before 1:40 p.m. Thursday, May 23 in the 5000 block of South Mopac Expressway service road.
According to the authorities, several vehicles collided for undetermined reasons on the southbound side of the roadway.
At least one person was taken to an area hospital by Austin-Travis County EMS with major injuries. The name and current condition of the victim were not disclosed.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
