Alicia Rivas Killed and Jose Lujan Injured in Andrews County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 181 at State Highway 115

Andrews County, Texas (November 17, 2022) – One person was killed, and another was injured Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in Andrews County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 5:13 p.m., November 14, at the intersection of FM 181 and State Highway 115.

DPS said 52-year-old Alicia Rivas, of Lovington, New Mexico, was driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue northbound on FM 181 while 27-year-old Jose Lujan, of Andrews, was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 eastbound on SH 115.

Rivas ran the stop sign at the intersection, and her vehicle was struck by the Silverado.

Rivas was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lujan was taken to Permian Regional Medical Center – Andrews, where he was treated and released.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
