Aye Mya Killed in Potter County Pedestrian Accident on RM 1061  

Potter County, Texas (July 13, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, a pedestrian was killed Sunday evening in a hit-and-run crash in Potter County.

The deadly accident happened around 11:40 p.m., July 11, on RM 1061, six miles north of Bushland.

DPS said a vehicle was traveling northbound when it struck Aye Mya, 56, of Amarillo, who entered the roadway from the northbound barrow ditch.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Mya was pronounced dead at the scene.

The DPS is asking anyone who might have been in the area at the time of the crash, including automotive body shop owners/employees, or anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call the department at (806) 468-1394.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
