Bicyclist Injured in Crash at Fairmount Street and Lexington Avenue in Abilene

One Injured in Abilene Bicycle Accident at Fairmount Street and Lexington Avenue

Abilene, Texas (August 22, 2023) – A bicyclist was injured Monday afternoon in a crash in Abilene, according to the police.

The accident happened just before 4:00 p.m., August 21, at the intersection of Fairmount Street and Lexington Avenue.

Police said a vehicle was traveling on Fairmont Street when it stopped at a stop sign, then kept going and hit a motorized bicycle, which was traveling northbound on Lexington.

The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

No further details were available.

The police are investigating the crash.
