Elvira Cadena Trujillo Killed in 2-Vehicle Accident on FM 973 in Del Valle

Elvira Cadena Trujillo ID’d as Woman Killed in Del Valle Crash on S FM 973 near SH 130
Del Valle, Texas (April 24, 2019) – The woman who was killed last week Thursday morning in a traffic accident on FM 973 in Del Valle has been identified as Elvira Cadena Trujillo, 77, according to authorities.
The tragic crash occurred at about 10:15 a.m. Thursday, April 18 in the 4800 block of S FM 973, just west of SH 130.
According to a report, a 2005 white Chevrolet pickup truck was heading northbound on FM 973, at the intersection of Pearce Lane, when the driver failed to stop at a red light and hit a 2001 white Hyundai Elantra, which was trying to make a left turn onto FM 973.
Trujillo, who was the driver of the Hyundai, was taken to South Austin Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
