Jamaal Standerson Injured in Fatal Car Crash on SH 105 near Sour Lake

Jamaal Standerson Injured in Fatal Sour Lake Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 105

Sour Lake, Texas (July 7, 2021) – According to Texas DPS, one person was killed and another was injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash, two miles east of Sour Lake.

The deadly accident happened around 11:15 a.m., July 6, on SH 105.

DPS said a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling westbound on the highway while a 2020 Mack truck was traveling eastbound.

The Dodge crossed into the eastbound lane, for unknown reasons, and crashed head-on into the Mack.

The Dodge driver, Bradley Scott Harrison, 45, of Cleveland, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Mack driver, Jamaal Standerson, 44, of Beaumont, was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth in Beaumont with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
