Bill McGraw Killed in Sealy 8-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

Sealy, Texas (September 22, 2021) – According to the authorities, one person was killed on Monday in an 8-vehicle crash near Sealy.

The fatal crash happened shortly before 2:00 p.m., on September 20, on Interstate 10.

Authorities said a vehicle had a tire blowout and stopped in the middle of the roadway. Oncoming vehicles tried to avoid the stopped car, but the driver of an 18-wheeler failed to brake in time and struck the stopped vehicles.

A total of eight vehicles and 14 people were involved in the crash.

Bill McGraw, 89, a longtime Jasper attorney, was in one of the vehicles and was killed in the crash.

Three other people were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
