Boy Hit by Car on West Baker Road in Baytown

5-Year-Old Boy Airlifted after Baytown Pedestrian Accident on West Baker Road
Baytown, Texas (April 10, 2019) – A 5-year-old boy was hit by a car after he wandered away from his home Tuesday afternoon in Baytown, according to the police.
The accident happened on Tuesday, April 9, in the 3500 block of West Baker Road.
Police said the boy left his home through an unlocked door while his mother was busy with one of her other children and was hit by a Nissan Juke Sport driven by a 20-year-old woman.
The child was airlifted to the hospital in an unknown condition.
The woman stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Officers said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Baytown Police Accident Reconstruction Officers are investigating the crash.
