Boy Struck, Injured by Vehicle on Hearth Drive in Houston

10-Year-Old Boy Injured in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Hearth Drive and Westridge Street; Brandy McGrew Charged
Houston, Texas (April 19, 2019) – A 10-year-old boy was struck and injured by a vehicle last week Wednesday in the middle of an intersection in southwest Houston, authorities said.
The accident happened in the middle of Hearth Drive and Westridge Street Wednesday, April 10.
According to the authorities, the boy exited the bus when Brandy McGrew drove her car around the school bus and struck him in the middle of the intersection.
Police said two vehicles were stopped behind the bus waiting for the children to cross when McGrew drove around the two cars and the bus and struck the child.
The boy sustained a broken leg and was taken to a local hospital.
McGrew was charged with injury to the child with criminal negligence.
The crash remains under investigation.
