George Escamilla Hit, Killed by Car on Bandera Road in San Antonio

70-Year-Old George Escamilla Killed in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Bandera Road

San Antonio, Texas (April 24, 2020) – The man who was fatally struck by a vehicle Thursday night in San Antonio has been identified as George Escamilla,70, according to San Antonio police.

The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on April 23, near the 1500 block of Bandera Road.

Police said Escamilla was walking across the road, around 100 yards away from a crosswalk, when he was hit by a Dodge Grand Caravan.

Escamilla was taken to University Hospital, where he later died.

The driver remained at the scene after the accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
