Braulia Arce Hernandez ID’d as Woman Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident on Loyola Lane near Sandshof Drive

Austin, Texas (January 10, 2020) – The woman who was killed in a pedestrian accident Wednesday evening in East Austin has been identified as Braulia Arce Hernandez,74, according to the police.

The deadly accident took place around 6:25 p.m. on January 8, at Sandshof Drive and Loyola Lane.

Police said Hernandez was standing with a family member in the center median dividing the eastbound to westbound lanes of Loyola Lane. Hernandez began to walk across Loyola Lane and was struck by a westbound 2006 BMW BX5.

Hernandez was declared dead at the scene. She would have turned 75 on March 5.

The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
