Brenda Smith ID’d as Fort Worth Woman Killed in Cross Roads Car Crash on FM 424 and Fishtrap Road

Cross Roads, Texas (January 3, 2019) – A woman from Fort Worth was killed in a fatal two-vehicle accident at an intersection in Cross Roads on Tuesday night.
According to the Northeast Police Department, the wreck occurred at about 7:10 p.m. January 1 at FM 424 and Fishtrap Road.
Police said two cars collided at the intersection for unknown reasons. The impact pushed both vehicles into a utility pole.
One of the drivers, Brenda Smith, 48, of Fort Worth, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver was treated for their injuries at the scene and released.
The crash caused a closure of the intersection as the scene was investigated the pole repaired.
The police are working to find out the cause of the crash.
