Brenda Valdez Killed in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on Clovis Road near North Loop 289

Lubbock, Texas (November 30, 2023) – One person was killed Wednesday morning in a crash with an 18-wheeler in Lubbock, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just before 8:00 a.m., November 29, on Clovis Road near North Loop 289.

Police said a semi-truck was stopped at a red light in the 3400 block of Clovis Highway when it was struck by an eastbound SUV driven by 51-year-old Brenda Valdez.

Valdez was killed in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
