Bruce Craig Crockett Killed in Motorcycle Accident on FM 347 in Cherokee County

57-Year-Old Bruce Craig Crockett Killed in Cherokee County Motorcycle Accident on FM 347 near Jacksonville

Cherokee County, Texas (April 3, 2020) – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon in Cherokee County, south of Jacksonville, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. on April 2, on FM 347.

According to a preliminary investigation, Bruce Craig Crockett, 57, of Jacksonville, was riding a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound and was entering a curve in the road to the right at an unsafe speed.

Crockett then crossed over into the southbound lane and struck a 2004 Ford F-150 driven by Juan Lopez Ramirez, 66, of Jacksonville.

Crockett was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ramirez was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
