Carla Teresita Ontiveros-Lara ID’d as Woman Killed in Comanche County Crash on U.S. 67 near Proctor
Comanche County, Texas (May 17, 2019) – The woman who was killed early Thursday morning in a traffic accident in Comanche County has been identified as Carla Teresita Ontiveros-Lara, 19, of Comanche, according to authorities.
The deadly accident happened just before 5:14 a.m. Thursday, May 16 on U.S. 67, just east of Proctor.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Ontiveros-Lara was driving a 2013 Ford Fiesta eastbound on U.S. 67 when for an unknown reason her vehicle veered into the westbound lane and hit a 2008 Ford F-350.
Ontiveros-Lara was declared deceased at the scene. Humberto Garcia, of Stephenville, 39, of Stephenville, was transported to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth in critical condition.
All parties involved were wearing seatbelts.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
