Charles Keisling Arrested after Police Chase Crash on Denton Highway in Haltom City

Charles Keisling Arrested in Haltom City Car Accident That Injured Woman on Denton Highway near West Loop 820
Haltom City, Texas (January 22, 2019) – The suspect who led police on a high-speed pursuit that ended in a fiery traffic collision in Haltom City has been identified as Charles Keisling, 30,  of North Richland Hills, authorities said.
The collision took place at about 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16 on southbound Denton Highway near West Loop 820.
As per the report, Keisling was driving a Honda Accord at approximately 90 mph when he slammed into a Dodge pickup truck driven by the woman, which was attempting to pull into a parking lot.
Authorities had reportedly spotted Keisling driving erratically earlier when they attempted to pull him over, but he sped off northbound on Denton Highway.
The officers ended the pursuit when they lost sight of the suspect. But as they turned around, they came across the same Honda Accord traveling southbound on Denton Highway.
Again the authorities attempted to stop the suspect over and again he sped off. After he crossed West Loop 820, he crashed into the woman’s pickup truck. The force of the impact caused the pickup truck to spin across the center median and caught fire.
The woman was pulled from the wreckage by the officers before she suffered any burns. She was then transported to a nearby hospital with major injuries.
Keisling sustained minor injuries and was also transported to a hospital. As of Monday, Keisling was in the Tarrant County Jail facing charges of intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury and evading arrest.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
