Sandra Neilsen Killed in Austin Pedestrian Accident at Way Lane and South Bay Lane

Austin, Texas (August 22, 2022) – According to the police, the woman who was killed Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run accident in southwest Austin has been identified as 70-year-old Sandra Neilsen.

The deadly accident happened around 8:35 a.m., August 17, at the intersection of Way Lane and South Bay Lane.

Police said Neilsen was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene heading northbound on South Bay Lane toward Back Bay Lane.

Neilsen was taken to the hospital, where she died the next day.

The police are looking for the hit-and-run driver.
