31-Year-Old Charlie Williams III Killed in Garland Pedestrian Accident on Stroud Lane

Garland, Texas (May 19, 2020) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident Monday morning in Garland, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened around midnight, May 18, in the 600 block of Stroud Lane, near Price Elementary School.

According to the report, 31-year-old Charlie Williams III was near an alley in a field when he was struck by a truck that was heading southeast near Grinnell Drive.

The truck fled the scene after the accident.

Williams was killed in the accident.

Police are asking nearby residents to review their surveillance footage between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 12:30 a.m. Monday to help identify the truck driver. The truck might have damage to its front end.

An investigation into the crash is underway. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to call Garland police at 972-485-4840. Anonymous tips could be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers, who is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case, at 972-272-8477.
