Cody Sanders and Jeffrey Patterson Killed in Perryton Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 15

Perryton, Texas (September 22, 2021) – Two people were killed Saturday night in a head-on collision east of Perryton, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 10:45 p.m., September 18, on State Highway 15.

DPS said a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling eastbound the wrong way when it crashed head-on into an eastbound 2004 Chevrolet 2500 Silverado pickup truck.

Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.

Both drivers, Cody Sanders, 26, of Canyon, and Jeffrey Patterson, 57, of Spearman, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Investigators said alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
