Godley, Texas (June 28, 2020) – A man was killed, and a woman was injured in a motorcycle crash Friday morning, one mile south of Acton, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened on June 26, on FM Road 4 at Godley Road.

Authorities said a 2016 Ford F-250 pickup was traveling southbound on FM 4 when it attempted to turn left onto Godley Road and failed to yield the right of way to a northbound 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

The motorcycle then hit the passenger’s side of the Ford.

The motorcycle rider, Robert G. Fozkos, 52, of Granbury, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger Hanna Fozkos, 22, was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with unknown injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Robert G. Fozkos. We also wish Hanna Fozkos a quick recovery.

Most motorcycle crashes are caused by negligent drivers who don’t keep a proper lookout or fail to yield the right-of-way. Because motorcyclists are vulnerable, their injuries are usually severe, often suffering from road rash, broken bones, brain injuries, amputations, or spinal cord injuries. In some cases, the accident results in death.
