50-Year-Old Man Killed in Seabrook Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 146 near Port Road

Seabrook, Texas (August 1, 2019) – A construction worker was killed in a pedestrian accident Wednesday morning on a Seabrook highway, according to the deputies.

The deadly accident took place around 11:00 a.m. July 31, in the 5300 block of State Highway 146 near Port Road.

Deputies said a Dodge van veered onto the shoulder of the highway and hit the 50-year-old man. He was declared dead at the scene.

The Dodge driver, Travis Nicholas Stevens, 25, of Houston, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was charged with intoxication manslaughter.

An investigation is underway.
