Construction Worker Seriously Injured in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on Marsha Sharp Freeway near Wausau Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (August 16, 2020) – According to police, a construction worker was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash Friday afternoon in Lubbock.

The accident happened at about 2:25 p.m., August 14, on the Marsha Sharp Freeway near Wausau Avenue.

Police said a vehicle was heading eastbound on the freeway when it struck the construction worker.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The victim sustained serious injuries in the crash.

No other information was provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
