Cordelia Sloan Killed in Coryell County Two-Vehicle Crash at US 84 and CR 185

Coryell County, Texas (January 7, 2020) – A teenager was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in Coryell County, according to a local news source.

The crash happened around 8:41 p.m. on January 5, at the intersection of US 84 and CR 185.

DPS said Cordelia Sloan, 16, was driving a Chevrolet passenger vehicle southbound on CR 185 when she ran a stop sign and crashed into a Ford pickup truck that was traveling westbound on US 84.

Sloan was pronounced dead at the scene. She was crowned Miss McGregor Teen, 2019 in September.

The driver of the Ford was taken to Coryell Memorial Hospital in Gatesville for evaluation.

The crash remains under investigation.
