Cory Hayes and Brandon Bridges Injured in Beaumont Plane Crash at Beaumont Municipal Airport on Keith Road

Beaumont, Texas (September 18, 2021) – Two people were injured Friday evening in a plane crash in Beaumont, according to the Texas DPS troopers.

The crash happened around 7:15 p.m., September 17, at the Beaumont Municipal Airport at 4055 Keith Road.

DPS said a Super Decathlon aircraft was trying to land at the airport when it crashed into a ditch with its front end.

The pilot, Cory Hayes, 41, of Beaumont, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital with a leg injury. The passenger, Brandon Bridges, 44, of Orange, was also taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
