Cristian Valdovinos Killed in San Benito Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 732 near Resaca Llena Drive

San Benito, Texas (April 7, 2021) – A 16-year-old was killed, and three other people were injured Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in San Benito, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash occurred around 8:00 p.m., April 5, on FM 732, south of Resaca Llena Drive.

According to a preliminary investigation, a beige Lincoln Town car was traveling northbound on the highway when the driver lost control and hit a southbound black 2017 Chevrolet Silverado.

The Lincoln driver and his two passengers were taken to a local hospital where one of the passengers, Cristian Valdovinos, 16, of San Benito, later died.

The Chevrolet driver was also taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
