Dan Gonzalez Identified as Person Killed in Tyler Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 323 near Paluxy Drive

Tyler, Texas (March 5, 2019) – Police have released the identity of a person killed Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in Tyler.
Dan Gonzalez, 25, of Tyler, died in the fatal crash that happened shortly before 11 p.m. on Monday, March 4, on Loop 323 near Paluxy Drive.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Jeep was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on the loop when the driver failed to stop for a red light and slammed into the driver’s side of a GMC Yukon that was going south on Paluxy Drive.
Gonzalez was identified as the driver of the Yukon. He was pulled out of the vehicle by Tyler Fire and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as Ethan Craft, 24, of Tyler, was taken to UT Health in serious condition.
Both directions of Loop 323 near Paluxy Drive were closed following the crash.
The police are investigating the crash to determine its cause.
