David Cochrane Killed in Lubbock Motorcycle Crash on Quaker Avenue near 34th Street

Lubbock, Texas (July 2, 2023) – According to the police, a motorcyclist was killed on Friday in a crash in Lubbock.

The fatal crash happened on June 30, in the 3200 block of Quaker Avenue near 34th Street.

Police said David Cochrane, 19, was riding a motorcycle northbound when he was struck by Joshua Apodaca, 28, who was traveling southbound.

Cochrane was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.

Apodaca was taken into police custody and was later charged with Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle. As of Saturday afternoon, he remained at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $35,000 bond.

The police are investigating the crash.
