Dennis Bennet and Ricky Broom Killed in Bryson Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 380
Bryson, Texas (March 4, 2019) – Two men were killed Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash near Bryson, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash happened at about 5:20 p.m. February 28, on Highway 380.
DPS said Ricky Don Broom, 63, of Perrin was driving a 2003 Ford pickup eastbound on the highway when he entered the westbound lane. Dennis Leroy Bennet, 58, of Jacksboro was driving a 2017 Honda SUV westbound and in an attempt to avoid the crash he drove into a ditch. The two cars then collided in the ditch.
Bennet was declared dead at the scene. Broom was airlifted to John Peter Smith Hospital where he later.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
