Deputy, Civilian Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-10 in Harris County

Deputy and Civilian Injured in Harris County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

Harris County, Texas (March 30, 2021) – Two people, including a Harris County deputy, were injured Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in Harris County, according to deputies.

The crash happened on March 29, on Interstate 10, near Barbara Mae Street.

Deputies said a Motorist Assistance Program unit was on the shoulder of the freeway when it was struck by another vehicle.

The deputy who was inside the MAP unit was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The other driver was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash temporarily closed some lanes of the freeway.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
