Dilissa Flores Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Toll 49 in Tyler

Dilissa Flores Killed in Tyler Two-Vehicle Crash on Toll 49 near Old Jacksonville Highway

Tyler, Texas (December 7, 2023) – One person was killed and another was injured Saturday morning in a two-vehicle in Tyler, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 11:50 a.m., December 2, on Toll Road 49 near Old Jacksonville Highway.

DPS said Dilissa N. Flores, 32, of Tyler, was driving a Mazda Tribute westbound when Zarya Borja, 17, of Chandler, made an illegal U-turn in his Toyota Rav4 and crashed into Flores’ vehicle.

Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.

Borja was taken to CHRISTUS Mother Frances in Tyler with non-incapacitating injuries.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and the weather conditions were dry and clear.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
