Edmon Howard Killed in Rusk County Pedestrian Accident on Highway 259

Rusk County, Texas (December 27, 2021) – A Henderson man was killed on Christmas Day in a pedestrian accident in Rusk County, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 6:35 p.m., December 25, on Highway 259, just five miles south of Henderson.

Authorities said Edmon Lynard Howard, 43, of Henderson, was standing on or near the fog line next to a broken-down pickup truck when he was struck by a northbound 2017 Ford F-150 driven by Alex Clayton Coursey 21, of New Caney.

Howard was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information was available.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
