Elderly Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Navigation Boulevard in Houston

79-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Navigation Boulevard and N 77th Street

Houston, Texas (May 30, 2022) – A 79-year-old man has died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday morning at an intersection in Houston, police said.

The deadly pedestrian accident took place at the intersection of Navigation Boulevard and N. 77th Street on May 29.

According to the Houston Police Department, the elderly man was crossing the intersection using a walker or cane when he was hit by a vehicle.

The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. There was no description of the suspect or the vehicle.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
