Brazoria, Texas (September 6, 2021) – One person was injured Sunday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash in Brazoria, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 3:35 p.m., September 5, at the intersection of Highway 36 and County Road 354.

DPS said a 2009 Nissan Altima was coming off of CR 354 and was traveling southbound when it made a right turn on Highway 36 and collided with a southbound GMC Sierra 2019.

The impact pushed both vehicles into the northbound lane of Highway 36, where they crashed into a GMC Sierra 2000 and Ford F-150 2004.

Kristin Cade, 38, was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition.

The 2019 Sierra driver, a 60-year-old Brazoria woman, with her passenger, a 56-year-old, were uninjured in the crash. The 2000 Sierra driver, a 55-year-old man from Texas City, and the Ford driver, a 37-year-old Surfside Beach man, were also uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
