74-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Westheimer Road

Houston, Texas (February 19, 2022) – A 74-year-old man was killed Wednesday evening in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident occurred around 4:10 p.m., February 18, in the 8200 block of Westheimer Road.

Police said a silver Jeep Commander was traveling eastbound when it struck the man who was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Jeep driver remained at the scene and was found not to be intoxicated. Investigators believe speed might have been a factor.

The police are investigating the crash.
