71-Year-Old Elizabeth Bartlet Killed in Milam County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 487

Milam County, Texas (April 10, 2020) – According to the authorities, two people were killed in a head-on collision on Wednesday in Milam County near Rockdale.

The fatal crash occurred on Wednesday, April 8, on FM 487.

Authorities said Elizabeth Bartlet, 71, was driving a 2017 Lincoln SUV northwest on FM 487, when she crossed the center line and crashed head-on into an oncoming 2002 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Kymber Lynn Barton, 37.

Barton was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Bartlett and a 30-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Dodge, were airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

Bartlett succumbed to her injuries on Thursday morning.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
