Caleb Rickenbacher ID’d as Victim Killed in Cypress Crash on Cypress Rosehill Road and Huffmeister Road

Cypress, Texas (November 24, 2022) – Caleb Rickenbacher, 20, has been identified as the victim of the early Saturday morning deadly crash in Cypress.

Authorities said the deadly crash happened at about 4:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, on Cypress Rosehill Road and Huffmeister Road.

According to the authorities, a vehicle was speeding on the roadway when it crossed over the center median and collided head-on with a vehicle occupied by Rickenbacher and his girlfriend, Christina Diaz, 20.

Rickenbacher died at the scene. Diaz was taken to the hospital with a ruptured intestine and other injuries.

The driver of the speeding vehicle reportedly fled the scene on foot. That vehicle was reported stolen from the Holiday Inn Express near 99 and Holzwarth.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
