10-Year-Old Boy Injured in Nacogdoches Hit-and-Run Jet Ski Accident at Lake Nacogdoches

Nacogdoches, Texas (May 7, 2020) – A 10-year-old boy was injured Wednesday evening in a hit-and-run Jet Ski accident at Lake Nacogdoches, according to the Texas Game Wardens.

The accident occurred around 7:10 p.m. May 6, at Lake Nacogdoches near the scenic overlook off FM 225.

Officials said the child was struck by a 2019 model Jet Ski near the bank of the lake.

The driver of the Jet Ski fled the scene after the accident. The Jet Ski was later found abandoned on the west side of the lake.

The child was taken to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. He was then airlifted to Cooks Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth in an unknown condition.

The Texas Game Wardens are investigating the accident.
